Barton Community College athletic department is proud to announce the 12th class to the Barton Sports Hall of Fame — Patricia Bauman, Wayne Becker and Dennis Sherman.
The induction ceremonies will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the lower level of Kirkman Activity Center. Admission is free. The Booster Club Chili Feed will follow from 5 to 7 p.m. in the upper level of Kirkman. The cost of the fundraiser is $6 per person and includes chili, cinnamon roll and beverage.
Bauman coached both women’s tennis and cheer; Becker is being inducted posthumously for his contributions to Cougars athletics; and Sherman as a member of the Barton golf team that earned Barton’s first conference title and for his contributions to Cougars athletics.
The inductees will also be introduced in ceremonies between the men’s and women’s Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Western Division games with Pratt. The women tip off at 6, followed by the men’s game at around 8:10.
