VICTORIA BOYS 51, ELLINWOOD 46

ELLINWOOD – Ellinwood's Tyler Knop gave the Eagles a chance with two late steals, but Victoria rallied for a hard fought 51-46 Central Prairie League basketball victory over the Eagles. The Eagles were outscored 12-4 in the final period as they scored on three of 13 possessions.

Victoria (5-10, 2-2) was paced by Cooper Windholz with 18 points. Windholz benefited from the key call of the night – a block/charge 3-point play where Knop was positioned perfectly. The Knights led 47-43 after the play.

Ellinwood (5-10, 1-4) was paced by hot-shooting David Hammeke with 20 points and Kyler Doll with eight points. The Eagles raced to a 30-23 halftime lead.
