Barton Bandits 14U baseball team places first The Barton Bandits 14U baseball team ended their summer season with a record of 34-12-2. This weekend they placed first in the Border War World Series held at Dodge City. On Sunday they played three games back to back to back, beating the Valley Sox of Colorado 19-0; Hays Predators 7-3; and in the championship game the Stovall Stampede of Dumas, Texas, 4-3. Head Coach Chris Smith reports this weekend was huge for the Bandits having just come up short in their chase for an NBC 14U State Tournament title losing to Liberal Kansas 3-2 in the semi final game in Hays. In the last 12 games, the Bandits outscored their opponents 84-29. Team Members are: Cal Kaiser, Layton Holden, Riley Smith, Brantley Baldwin, Christian Zahnter, Miguel Martinez, Joey Soupiset, Eduardo Bujanda, Colin Hall, Townsend Kurth, Bryce Brown, Nahum Olivas, The Bandits are coached by: Chris Smith, Travis Kurth, and Darrin Hall.
