Barton Blazers capture first
Youth basketball
The fifth-grade Barton Blazers coached by Troy Griffith, Chris Ryan and Clint Brown took first place at the Great Bend MAYB basketball tournament Saturday, defeating the Hays Hawks 28-17, Liberal Bulls 26-21, Hays Trojans 40-15 and Hays Tribe 26-14. The Blazers are 7-1 on the season and will see their next action in Kingman on Feb. 2. Back row (left to right) Dalton Miller, Nick Wondra, J.J. Heredia and Bryce Brown.
