GYPSUM — Hoisington's state runner-up Marley Bittel continues to shine with first-place medals in the 100 meters (12.2) and 200 meters (25.75) at the Southeast of Saline Track Invitational.

Bittel competed with the runner-up 400-meter relay (50.81) with Keslynn Adee, Laeya Beck and Annabelle Gonzalez. Addison Hanzlick placed runner-up in the discus (111-11).

The Cardinal girls scored 88 points to place third. Beloit (185) won the team title.

Several Cardinals posted season-best times and distances.

CARDINAL BOYS — Pole vaulter Taylen Morales cleared 14-6 to rank in the top 10 in Kansas. Morales also posted a season best 15.66 with a runner-up medal in the 110-meter hurdles.

Other runner-up medals were earned by pole vaulter Joseph Hekele (13-0); discus thrower Layton Hoffman (156-10); and 1,600-meter runner Brody Rossman (4:39.88) with a season-best time.

The Cardinals scored 95 points to finish third. Southeast Saline won the team title with 137 points.
