Head coach Jeremy Snow has inked Cole Haynes to a letter of intent to play baseball at Lourdes University beginning this fall.
The West Unity, Ohio native batted .391 for Hilltop High School as a senior, with two home runs and 23 runs batted in. He also tallied six doubles and a triple for nine total extra base hits.
“Cole is another great addition to our incoming class,” Snow stated. “Not only does he have great character already, but he has a lot of offensive potential and a big athletic frame. He will compete for at bats right away and I am very excited to watch him grow and reach his potential over the next four years.”
The Cadets first baseman earned First Team All-Buckeye Border Conference honors as a senior after being a Second Team All-BBC pick following his junior campaign.  Haynes also earned Honorable Mention All-BBC accolades after his sophomore campaign.
He is the grandson of Larry and Jeanne Steiner and nephew of Shawn Steiner and Stacey Vincent from Hoisington.
