ELLSWORTH — Ellinwood's Drake Hosman (.379) ripped a grand slam homer and scored six times in a wild 21-12 baseball victory over Ellsworth Monday.

Ellinwood (6-3) dropped the nightcap 9-5. Russell visits Ellinwood Thursday for a doubleheader.

ELLINWOOD 21, ELLSWORTH 12 (G1) — Ellinwood broke a 12-12 tie with a 9-run seventh inning.

Cohen Gunn (.581), Trace Tudor (.286) and Shea Hoskins (.333) delivered RBI hits prior to Hosman's grand slam. The Eagles drew five walks in the seventh inning.

Banks Jacobs (.545) drove in four runs. Cohen Gunn doubled and tripled and drove in three runs. Hoskins drove home three runs. The Eagles had six extra-base hits.

Ellsworth's Carson Jacobs drove in three runs.

ELLSWORTH 9, ELLINWOOD 5 (G2) — Ellsworth (1-11) won its first game of the season. Bo Kyler, Jackson Minear and Lane Howard each drove in two runs.

Ellinwood's Jacobs drove home two runs. Gunn homered. Hosman and Hoskins each drove in a run.
