Great bend Panther Cole Streck shot 6-over-par 77 to earn third medalist honors at Monday's windswept Great Bend Golf Invitational. Winds blew 20-25 mph from the northeast with a high temperature of 60 degrees. Streck played in the pressure-packed No. 1 group that featured the top three medalists.

The Panthers finished third (343) with 13th-place Jayson Effertz (85),  14th-place Brantley Baldwin (85) and  20th-place Cal Dunekack (96) also counting.

Hays High (316) edged Garden City (318) by two strokes for first place. University of Kansas signee Sion Audrian of Garden City (71) earned medalist honors by three strokes over Hays High's Tragdon McCrae (74).
