Great Bend Middle School runners place first

Great Bend Middle School seventh grader Kyler Holinde sprints to a third-place finish at Haysville.

HUTCHINSON – Great Bend runner-up Diane Alvarez (14:22.9) led the Great Bend Middle School girls to first place (11) ahead of Wichita Homeschool (21).

Also counting for Great Bend were fourth-place Marissa Boone (14:39.8) and fifth-place Darcy Feist (14:46.2). Reese King placed eighth (15:06.4).

Great Bend’s Addyson Bruce placed seventh (11:24.7) in the seventh-grade girls division.

Great Bend Panther Ismael Ramirez finished fifth (9:57.2) in the seventh-grade boys division. Ellinwood’s Grey Ringwald placed third (9:48.3).

Great Bend Panther Kyler Holinde placed third (12:40.2) in the eighth-grade boys division.

Ellinwood’s Heidi Brauer placed ninth (15:09.7) in the girls eighth-grade division.
