Larned girls dominate Lyons meet
LYONS – Larned’s Hagerman sisters contributed to four first-place finishes as the Indians scored 122 points to place first at the Lyons Wheaton Relays.
Jayme Hagerman won the 100 meters (13.0) and long jump (17-51/2). Kaylee Hagerman won the triple jump (33-3). The Hagerman sisters joined Teagan Walker and Nydia Martinez on the first-place 400-meter relay (52.67). Larned’s Cadee Upson won the shot put (37-81/4) and Aylice Clawson won the 3,200 (16:26.62).
Hoisington’s winners were Kylee Hahn, 100-meter hurdles (17.15) and Macy Hanzlick, 200 (27.0).
St. John won six events – Meyer, 400 (1:05.68); Lydia Reed, 800 ( 2:45.13); Darby Smith, 1,600 (6:11.54); Blayr Doggett, discus (95-5); and the 1,600 relay (4:26.37) with Heidi Fisher, Lydia Reed, Darby Smith and Payton Meyer; and the 3,200 relay (13:38.96) with Meyer, Reed, Smith and Fisher.
BOYS DIVISION – St. John won four events to score 69 points. Preston Dunn won the 300 hurdles (41.43) and Quade Smith won the 400 (56.53). The Tigers won the 1,600 relay (3:49.83) with Eli Delp, Dunn, Hunter Smith and Quade Smith. The Tigers won the 3,200 relay (9:56.81) with Hunter Smith, Quade Smith, Delp and Dunn.
Larned’s Brayson Bird won the 100 (11.59) and 200 (23.67) to help the Indians score 56 points. Kaleb Augustine won the shot put (43-11/2).
Hoisington’s Michael Hipp won the 3,200 (12:36.47).
