TOPEKA — Changes in the postseason basketball schedule have been approved by the KSHSAA executive board due to COVID19 recommendations. Substate assignments will be publicized no later than the second week of January.

1A Division 1 and 1A Division 2 will be grouped geographically into groups of six or seven schools. Playing dates are Feb. 25-26 for quarterfinal contests at the higher seed. Semifinals and finals will be played at primary sites March 4, 5, 6.

2A and 3A will be grouped geographically into groups of eight schools. Playing dates are March 1, 2, 4, 5, 6. 

Quarterfinal games will be played at the higher seeded team on March 1 and 2. Semifinals and finals will be played at the primary postseason site.

4A, 5A and 6A will be grouped geographically into groups of four or five schools. Groups which have five teams will play the No. 4 vs. No. 5 seed Saturday, Feb. 27. 

Semifinal games are scheduled Tuesday, March 2 and Wednesday, March 3 at the higher seeded team. Finals will be played Friday, March 5 and Saturday, March 6.

All state quarterfinal games will be scheduled Monday, March 8 and Tuesday, March 9 at school sites. Four teams will advance to the state sites March 10-13.
