Cardinals capture CKL golf title

LARNED — Hoisington medalist Tricia Schremmer (93) and runner-up Ava Henry (97) led the Cardinals (396) to the Central Kansas League golf championship Tuesday at Larned Country Club. Schremmer birdied the No. 12 hole and recorded five pars to outdistance Henry.

The Cardinals also counted scores by fourth-place medalist Lexus Petersilie (103), fourth-place medalist Addy Guthrie (103) and sixth-place Kaylee Shives (106) and Ally Karst (106). The Cardinals return to Larned Oct. 10 for the 3-1A regional golf tournament.

Pratt (425) finished runner-up and Larned (465) placed third keyed by ninth-place medalist Jocelyn Clawson (107).
