MACKSVILLE – Macksville’s Diego Esparza rescued the Mustangs with 24 points and five clinching free throws in a 50-45 victory over Stafford in Friday’s non-league basketball game.  Hector Gomez contributed 14 points, six rebounds and four steals.

Stafford's Brody Kerschenske scored 17 points and Jimi Olson added 16 points.

MACKSVILLE – Macksville’s Mayce Russell made her 2023 debut a huge success with a 19-point night to spark the Mustangs past Stafford 73-25 in Friday’s non-league basketball game. Russell played her first game after recovering from a volleyball injury.

Macksville (4-2) also featured Isabela Ortiz with a season high (14) and Kamby Adams (13) in double figures. Ortiz contributed 10 steals as the Mustangs had 34 steals.
