NESS CITY – Macksville quarterback Ryan Kuckelman and tailback Hector Gomez each scored three touchdowns to spark the Mustangs past Ness City 58-12 in Friday’s Eight-Man 1 District 7 football game.
Kuckelman rushed for 148 yards and scored on runs of 5, 7 and 38 yards. Kuckelman completed 37- and 50-yard scoring passes to Jason Cleveland. Gomez rushed for 91 yards and scored on 8, 10 and 56-yard runs. The Mustangs (5-0, 2-0 District) rushed for 286 yards.
Macksville’s Ervey Triana accounted for 13 tackles and seven assists. Kuckelman had 12 tackles and five assists.
Ness City’s Danny Guzman scored on a 4-yard run. He completed a 17-yard touchdown pass to Trey Solze.

Gantz threw for 211 yards and Josh Hildebrand and Colson Minks each caught two touchdown passes. Zander Nickelson rushed for three touchdowns and rushed for 92 yards. Cody Knoche rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown for Stafford (5-0, 2-0 District).
Caden McCandless caught a 45-yard touchdown pass from Joe Drake, who scored on a 1-yard run for St. John (1-4, 0-1 District).

HOISINGTON – Pratt roared past Hoisington 37-13 in Friday’s Central Kansas League football game to hand the Cardinals (3-2) their first regular-season home loss since 2018. Hoisington (3-2) has won 16 consecutive regular-season home games.
The run-oriented Greenbacks beat the Cardinals with four passing touchdowns, starting with a 53-yard halfback pass from John Martinez to Justus Tatro. Max Younie delivered TD passes to J’air Johnson and Taye Wilson. Carson Hoeme threw a touchdown pass to Johnson and scored on a 12-yard run.
Hoisington’s Mason Alderdice scored on a 45-yard run. Leyton Haxton caught a 35-yard halfback pass from Chase Steinert. Teron Kraft contributed 11 tackles and Ian Smith 10 stops. Tony Moore intercepted a pass.
