No. 6 ranked 6A Manhattan powered past the Great Bend girls 54-24 in Thursday's opening dual wrestling match.

Great Bend's last year's fourth-place state finisher and No. 2 ranked Daizy Gomez (130) pinned Manhattan's Eleanor Radi (1:57). Earning pins were Great Bend's Camdyn Post (105), Kayle McMullen (125) and Natalee Daniels (1:50).

Post pinned Bianca Floresklemick (1:01). McMullen pinned Eve Thornburg (4:48). Daniels pinned Haleigh Stokes (1:50).

Manhattan's returning state champion No. 1 ranked Kayla Cramer (120) pinned Braelyn Turner (1:22).
