HOISINGTON — Central Plains' two-time state qualifiers Bryanna Hammeke/Kyla Metro (7-0) cruised to four wins to capture the No. 1 doubles division at Tuesday's Hoisington Tennis Invitational. Hammeke and Metro, third and fifth at 3-2-1A state, downed Scott City's Bella Myers/Sadie Hermosillo 6-1 in the championship match.
The Oilers (32) captured the team title ahead of Scott City (26).
The Oilers' No. 1 singles Lauren Oeser (5-2) lost 7-6 (8-6) in a tiebreaker to Osborne's Gracie Riner (7-0) in the championship match. No. 2 singles Ashlyn Armstrong lost 6-1 in the finals to Osborne's Blair Wolters (5-1).
Scott City's No. 2 doubles Rhiley Stoppel/Madison Westergard defeated Hoisington's Cheyenne Martinz/Lauren Higgins, 6-1 in the championship match.
