CENTRAL PLAINS GIRLS 95, LACROSSE 13

CLAFLIN – All-stater Emily Ryan scored 38 points and converted 16 free throws as the Oilers rolled past LaCrosse 95-13 in Friday’s Central Prairie League basketball game.

Oiler Delaney Rugan scored 15 points and Avery Hurley and Rachel Lamatsch each scored nine points. The Oilers converted 34 of 59 field goals.

The Oilers (18-0, 6-0 CPL) have swept 102 consecutive games after winning five straight 2A state basketball titles.

Ryan scored 29 first-half points as the Oilers led 54-0 in the second period. Kathryn Thielenhaus scored a basket for the Leopards’ first score.
