Panthers down Manhattan matmen

MANHATTAN – Great Bend’s four state-ranked wrestlers keyed eight victories for the Panthers in a 44-34 dual match victory over 6A Manhattan Thursday.

Great Bend’s No. 4 ranked Cooper Liles (157), No. 4 Matthew Johnson (175), No. 5 Jace Schartz (150) and No. 6 Keyven Schroeder (215) earned victories.

Also winning for the Panthers were Hayden Kelly (126), Skyler McMullen (138), Michael Motoya (165) and Trenton Kern (190).

Great Bend competes at Friday’s Valley Center Tournament.
