Panther girls win title at Lake Afton
LAKE AFTON – Great Bend’s girls scored 39 points to surprise defending 5A state champion Wichita Carroll (48) to capture the Lake Afton Cross Country Invitational.
Emilia Diaz (20:03.0) placed fourth, Marissa Boone (20:10.0) placed fifth and Diane Alvarez (20:39.0) finished eighth for a trio of top 10 finishers.
Great Bend Panther Kaiden Esfeld (16:31.0) earned medalist honors in the boys division.
