Panther golfers compete
HAYS – Great Bend Panther Scott Heilman tied for 20th (87) at Monday’s Hays Golf Invitational. Play was conducted in north winds 10 to 20 mph with temperatures in the 50s.
The Panthers finished ninth (405) with 40th Esten Moore (102), 43rd Joe Linenberger (103) and 54th Jonathan Randall (113) also counting.
Garden City’s Theo Juhl shot 4-under-par 67 with a trio of birdies and an eagle. Reigning Western Athletic Conference champion Garden City (312) placed first.
