Senior Night was special for the Great Bend Panthers. 

There was no way the Panthers were going to lose with seniors Valarie Luna, Rylie Duvall and Kyndall Blessing playing their final home match.

Great Bend (16-13) played its best volleyball of the season heading to the Western Athletic Conference Tournament Saturday at Liberal. The Panthers shocked No. 3 state-ranked Smith Center 25-19, 25-19 and rallied past Phillipsburg 25-20, 25-20 after losing to the Panthers earlier in the season.

The Panthers advanced to the No. 11 seed in the projected 5A volleyball postseason.
