DODGE CITY – The Great Bend Middle School wrestlers swept three matches against Dodge City, Liberal Eisenhower and Dodge City Comanche.

The Panthers won 12 of 18 matches for a 72-33 win over Eisenhower. Hayden Kelly, Blake Stein, Trevin Maciel, Kale Kern, Trenton Kern and Josue Bustamante all won by pins. The Panthers beat Dodge City Comanche 60-45 with nine pins. GBMS downed 69-46 with 12 wins. 

Eighth-grader Trenton Kern believes the team keeps working harder and keep improving and uses the quote, “‘Hard Work Beats Talent, When Talent Doesn’t Work Hard,” to inspire him.
