Panthers' swimmer Long breaks school record

WICHITA — Great Bend Panther Ellis Long broke the Panther school record with a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.05) at Saturday's Wichita Heights Swimming Invitational. The Panthers scored 109 points to finish ninth.

The Panthers posted a season-best time (1:47.69) with a sixth-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with Tyler Stein, Long, Brody Feist and Beau Burkhart competing.  

The Panthers earned a third-place finish in th4 400-yard freestyle (3:47.71) with Feist, Kasey Kennedy, Long and Stein competing.

Stein placed seventh in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.35).
