HOISINGTON — While the Ellinwood High School girls’ basketball team doubled Hoisington’s score in the first quarter, the Lady Cardinals tied things up heading into the fourth quarter.
With the game knotted at 37, the Lady Eagles were able to outscore the home team 11-4 to win.
Ellinwood was led by Kelsea Ward, who finished with 16 points. Rachel Doll added 10 points.
Jordin Greer scored 16 points for Hoisington, and Rylie Koester contributed 14 points.

LA CROSSE — Central Plains got off to its usual solid start against La Crosse, leading 22-3 after the first eight minutes.
The Lady Oilers were led by Taylor Rolfs, who scored 18 points.
Reagan Phelan was right behind her with 17 points for Central Plains.
Kendi Maxwell added 11 points.

ST. JOHN — St. John put distance between it and Victoria in the third quarter, outscoring the Lady Knights 17-5.
With a 43-28 lead heading into the final quarter, St. John was able to coast to a win.
Alexis Witt scored 22 points, including 10 in the third quarter to lead the Lady Tigers.
Teresa Christie added 16 points for St. John.
