Hoisington 34,
Medicine Lodge 22
The Hoisington Cardinals rushed for 330 yards and posted a road win over the Medicine Lodge Indians.
Medicine Lodge struck first with a 4-yard run by Tyler Ward.
Taylor Stumma, who led the Cardinals with 123 rushing yards and two touchdowns, answered by running 16 yards to score. Stumma’s second touchdown was scored on an 11-yard sprint.
Quarterback Luke Becker scored the remaining touchdowns for Hoisington. His first touchdown came on a 6-yard pass to Brady Demel.
Becker ran four yards for his second touchdown. His third was a 26-yard TD pass to Demel.
Bryan Hellman ran for a 3-yard touchdown to start the fourth quarter for the Indians. Bryant Wornkey ran for a 22-yard touchdown at the end of the game to close the scoring

St. John 58, Western Plains 0
The St. John High School football team completely throttled Western Plains in registering a shutout.
The Tigers pounced on Western Plains early, scoring 36 points in the first quarter and 22 in the second to put the mercy rule into effect before the final half began. The Tigers found most of their success on the ground, rushing 17 times for 171 yards.
Pat Prescott started the game by taking a kickoff 70 yards to the house. Prescott led the Tigers in touchdowns including a 53-yard pass from Kinser Crissman, along with a 6-yard run.
Crissman threw one more touchdown, this one to Zach Minnis for 11 yards. He ran 43 yards for his third score of the night.
Omar Ramirez ran for a 17-yard TD, and Dace Mercer had an  11-yard scoring run to finish off Western Plains.

Otis-Bison 52, Claflin 0
The Otis-Bison High School football team had no trouble blanking Claflin in the Eight-Man Division-II game.
The Cougars outrushed the Wildcats by almost 300 yards on their way to the romp. The Otis-Bison ground game was led by Dylan Wissman, who turned in 180 yards and scored two touchdowns.
Cougars quarterback Trevor Keller started the scoring spree with a 2-yard run in the first quarter. Wissman also scored in the first quarter to make it 16-0.
The second quarter began with a pair of touchdowns from Patrick Piper (2 yards and 31 yards respectively), who had 63 yards on nine attempts.
In the second quarter, Keller went to the air twice, completing a 37-yard bomb to Matthew Crotinger, and a 5-yard scoring aerial to Brandon Pechanec.
The Cougars’ final touchdown came when Wissman busted out a 55-yard sprint, ending the game in the third quarter because of the 45-point mercy rule.

Stafford 48, Burrton 0
The Stafford Trojans totaled seven rushing touchdowns against the Burrton Chargers in capturing their first win of the season.
Even though Gus Lewis led the Trojans in rushing yards with 80 on 14 attempts, quarterback Alex Setter ran for three touchdowns (20, 25 and 6 yards) and gained 75 yards on the ground.
Gus Stueve ran for two touchdowns. He ran the ball in first quarter from one yard out. His second score was on a 7-yard run.
Chirs Lowe and Jacob Morris each ran for a touchdown for the Trojans.
With the win, the Trojans are now 1-1 both overall and in the Heart of the Plains League.

Fowler recorded its second win of the football season at home, blanking Pawnee Heights 48-0.
The Goldbugs were led by Cosme Estrada, who contributed two touchdowns on his way to 148 rushing yards on 17 attempts.
Tem Shetley ran a kickoff back 75 yards to the end zone for a Goldbugs touchdown. Jeremy Milford and Tyrone Clark also each scored a touchdown.
