STERLING – Sterling outscored Larned 36-22 in the second half to pull away for a 60-50 Central Kansas League basketball victory.

STERLING – The No. 2 ranked Class Sterling girls roared to a 41-3 halftime lead and coasted past Larned 63-10 in a Central Kansas League basketball game.
Larned (3-13, 1-7 CKL) was led by Kelsey Parr with five points. Sterling (17-1, 8-0 CKL) was paced by Kylah Comley with 23 points.

HOISINGTON – Emma Harmon scored 19 points and converted five 3-pointers to spark the Hoisington girls past Lyons 60-32 in a Central Kansas League basketball game Friday.
Pedigo scored a career high 17 points and leading scorer Rylie Koester added 13 points. Hoisington (12-5, 5-3 CKL) outscored the Lions 24-10 in the third period.

LACROSSE – The No. 1 ranked Class 2A Central Plains girls roared past state-ranked LaCrosse 63-40 to stay unbeaten in Central Prairie League basketball.
The Oilers (17-0, 5-0 CPL) were paced by Reagan Phelan with 26 points and four 3-pointers. Cassidy Crites scored 16 points and Janae Ryan added 12 points. The Oilers outscored the Leopards 23-5 in the first quarter and made seven 3-pointers. Phelan scored 11 points in the first quarter.
Olivia Baus led LaCrosse (15-2, 5-1 CPL) with 13 points and Erica Gilbert added 11 points.

ST. JOHN – Three players scored in double figures and Victoria’s girls edged St. John 50-47 in a Central Prairie League basketball game. Tara Nelson scored 24 points for St. John (4-12, 1-5 CPL). Alexis Valenzuela had four assists.
Tiffany Dortland led Victoria with 16 points and Sam Leiker added 15 points.
