St. John 58, Larned 48
LARNED — The St. John High School girls’ basketball team increased its lead in every quarter and edged Larned on the road on Friday night.
The Lady Tigers (8-0) was led by Teresa Wade, who scored 19 points. Jamie Waters and Morgan Osborne each added 15 points as the only other St. John girls in double digits.
Brittney Perez led the Lady Indians (2-6) with a game-high 22 points.
Amanda Haberman and Brittanie Miller each added 11 points.

ROZEL — In spite of a fourth-quarter surge that saw Pawnee Heights outscore Kiowa County 17-3, the Lady Mavericks held on to win on Friday night.
Jackie Dvorak led the Lady Tigers (0-8) with 14 points.
Jenna Jacobs added 11 points, including 4 of 4 from the free throw line, and Rachel Wasko contributed 10 points.

KINSLEY — Kinsley’s 32-point second half was too much for Quivira Heights and the Lady Coyotes finished on top on Friday night.
The Lady Thunderbirds (6-3) were led by Kinsey Phelan, who pumped in 11 points.
Right behind her was Lindsey Woodmansee, who scored 10 points, including two 3-pointers.
Quivira Heights hit 8 of 9 free throws in the final quarter for 88 percent.

LARNED — Larned led after three quarters, 37-33, but St. John outscored the Indians 16-8 in the final eight minutes to win on Friday night.
St. John (4-3) was led by Zach Minnis, who generated 17 points, including hitting 8 of 8 from the free-throw line.
Brandon Blakeslee added 12 points and Zuriel Reyes scored eight.
The Indians (1-9) looked to Jahman Hill, who rang up 18 points. Justin Vratil joined him in double digits with 12.

ROZEL — Kiowa County jumped ahead of Pawnee Heights, leading 14-5 after eight minutes and continueing to build its lead until it recorded the win on Friday night.
The Tigers (0-9) leaned on Chad Wallace, who scored 22 of Pawnee Heights’ 28 points.
Sam Spence added four points and Raul Davila put in two.

Quivira Heights (5-4) got 14 points from both Gunner Phelan and Taylor Siemsen. Both Phelan and Siemsen hit two 3-pointers in the game.
Tanner Dahlke and Brent Jezek each scored four points.
