CIMMARON — The Central Plains High School boys' tennis team qualified two doubles teams for the Class 3-1A State Tournament, which will be held on Friday and Saturday in Goddard.
The Oilers' Layne Bieberle and Michael Ryan won the doubles competition, and Merritt Hammeke and Carson Kirmer placed second at the regional tournament in Cimarron.
Hoisington qualified two entries into the state tournament at the same tournament.
Cameron Davis placed second in the singles competition and Evan Smith and Austin McHenry combined to place sixth in the doubles competition to advance.
Ellinwood claimed one entry into the state tournament — a regional champion. Marc Waite claimed the regional title in the singles competition.
