A position just opened up in the Ellinwood High School’s front office.
Ellinwood athletic director Kip Wilson has stepped down from his position and has taken a job in the Great Bend school district.
“I’m going to be a weight instructor and assistant athletic director at Great Bend Middle School,” Wilson said.
The choice was made in consideration of his family.
“It really was the best choice,” Wilson said. “I’m going to be working in the same building as my wife. With a little one, the day care being in Great Bend, it really was the best thing for us.”
Wilson was the Athletic Director at Ellinwood, both the middle school and high school, for three years. He also taught physical eductation.
“Ellinwood is a fantastic community,” Wilson said. “Ellinwood has great kids. This was a difficult decision. It was not made easily, but, like I said, this is the best decision for our family.”
