BELOIT — Ellinwood’s Jordan Duvall scored two touchdowns to spark the West to a 24-20 victory over the East in the Eight-Man I All-Star Game. Central Plains’ Braeden Crites and Michael Ryan also played for the West team.
Solomon quarterback Jake Tiernan completed a 10-yard TD pass to Canton-Galva’s Travis Unruh in the first quarter.
The East scored on a 9-yard TD pass from Central-Burden’s Lucas McMichael to Hanover’s Paden Pralle for a 6-6 tie.
Ellinwood’s Duvall scored on a 20-yard touchdown to cap a 7-play, 59-yard scoring drive for a 12-6 halftime lead. Duvall added a 3-yard scoring run for an 18-6 lead after three quarters.
Oberlin’s Bryson Wesley scored on a 4-yard TD for a 24-6 lead on a 45-yard drive.
The East rallied with two scores. Lincoln’s Zac Walter completed a 12-yard TD pass to Udall’s Nolan Williams. Walter added the PAT for a 24-14 score. Walter completed a 60-yard touchdown to West Elk’s Armando Gomez with 2:23 left.
South Central’s Cole Lohrding preserved the victory with an interception.
