The Great Bend High School bowling team hosted Western Athletic Conference foe Liberal on Thursday afternoon at Walnut Bowl.
Both the boys and girls team finished ahead of Liberal, advancing the boys record to 6-2 overall, 2-2 in the WAC and lifting the girls to 8-0 overall, 4-0 in conference play.
“We swept Liberal,” Great Bend head coach Mike Perry said. “The girls set a new school record and the boys set a house record. The whole team just bowled really well today.”
The Lady Panthers rolled a collective 2,303, topping the Lady Redskins by 376.
The girls were led by Jacy Quade, who knocked down 621 over three games, claiming the Lady Panthers’ best game with the score of 225.
Miranda Hejny narrowly missed tying Quade’s top game, opening her series with 223.
The Panthers finished with 2,508, blasting the Redskins, who finished with a score of 2,310.
Dakota Conaway finished with the top series for the boys with 653. The best 10 frames belongs to Eric Ruiz, who rolled a 259.
