Three-time state qualifier Keaton Sander (138)

DOUGLASS — Great Bend’s Keaton Sander (138) won three matches to capture the Douglass Tournament Saturday. Sander defeated Wichita South’s Asiel Flores 2-1 in the championship match after pins over Andover Central’s Mitchell Allison (1:00); and Wichita Heights’ Aevodric Gilkey (5:50). Sander is a three-time Class 5A state qualifier who has placed fourth and sixth the past two years.
Great Bend’s Gage Fritz (145) and Jeffrey Spragis (152) places runner-up. Derby’s Crew Squires defeated Fritz 5-3 in the championship natch. Pratt’s Nick Lucas defeated Spragis on an injury.
Carsyn Schooler (113), Braxton Schooler (132) and Jacob Meeks (170) each placed fourth.
Andover Central’s Christian Hannon defeated Schooler 5-2 for third place. Goddard Eisenhower’s Victor Aguilera pinned Schooler in 1:52 for third place. Derby’s Nik Self defeated Meeks 10-5 for third place.
The Panthers tied Douglass for sixth place with 98 points. Wichita South scored 165 points to finish first.
