HOISINGTON 62, HILLSBORO 46
HILLSBORO — Steffan Dolechek and Brenner Donovan each scored 15 points as Hoisington stunned second-place Hillsboro 62-46 in a Central Kansas League basketball game.
The Cardinals (7-9, 2-5 CKL) outscored the Trojans 17-7 in the second period. The Cardinals put together an 11-0 run and a 13-0 run to build a 21-point first-half lead. Cameron Davis grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out three assists. Ryan Broeder had two assists. The Cardinals made 15 free throws and made 23 of 45 field goals.
Hillsboro’s Braden Vogt scored 11 points and Darian Ratzlaff added nine points. The Trojans (12-4, 5-2 CKL) shot 36 percent and made seven of 26 3-point goals.

HILLSBORO — Emma Harmon scored 12 consecutive points in the third and fourth periods to spark Hoisington’s girls past Hillsboro 48-38 in a Central Kansas League basketball game.
Rylie Koester paced the Cardinals (11-5, 4-3 CKL) with 21 points and Harmon added 17 points. Hillsboro (10-6, 5-2) was led by Alex Ratzlaff with 18 points and Tas Sanchez added 12 points.

MACKSVILLE — Jacob Rein scored 18 points and Nathanial Miller added 16 points to spark Macksville’s boys past Kinsley 60-48 in a Central Prairie League basketball game. The Mustangs (7-8, 2-3 CPL) outscored the Coyotes 15-3 from the free throw line. Each team made five 3-pointers.
Kameron Carey led Kinsley (3-13, 1-3 CPL) with 16 points.

ST. JOHN — Central Prairie League leader LaCrosse shut down St. John’s girls 41-25 to maintain first place in the CPL.
M Lacy and Madison West led LaCrosse (15-1, 5-0 CPL) with 12 points apiece. The Leopards outscored the Tigers 17-3 in the third period.
Tara Nelson scored 10 points and Bailey Burns added nine points for the Tigers (4-11, 1-4 CPL).

HEALY — Taylor Regan scored 10 points and had five steals to spark the Cougars past Healy 50-23 in a non-league basketball game Tuesday.
The Cougars (7-9) led 29-13 at halftime. Mitchell scored eight points and Madison Schneider contributed six points and five steals.
The Otis-Bison boys rolled past Healy 67-23. The Cougars play Ness City Friday.
