 HOISINGTON — Steffan Dolechek scored 17 points and Cameron Davis added 12 points and No. 7 seeded Hoisington upset No. 2 seeded Ellsworth 57-53 at the Cardinal Winter Jam. Dolechek added nine rebounds and three assists. Corbin Crawford also dished out three assists.

The Cardinals (2-8) play Barton County rival Ellinwood (7-3) in Friday’s 8:15 p.m. semifinals.

The Cardinals led 35-24 after three quarters and were outscored 29-22 in a wild fourth period. Kaden Davis and Jordan Base each scored 19 points.

HOISINGTON — Olivia Baus scored 20 points to lead LaCrosse past Ellsworth 63-33 in the Hoisington Winter Jam. Tessa Pierce and Morgan West each added 11 points.
Paige Talbott led Ellsworth with 10 points.
