The Hoisington Middle School Wrestling team put on quite a display this past Monday night as the team traveled to Ellsworth to take on teams from Ellsworth and Beloit. The team won 18 matches while dropping just 10 on the evening. The team was coming off a big tournament win at Russell just this past Friday evening. Despite the team not being able to fill seven weight classes they continue to roll. Staying unbeaten on the season are: Josh Ball (5-0), Cole Steinert (8-0), Dayne Yott (8-0), Wyatt Pedigo (7-0), and Trey Bitter (4-0). Quentin Boxberger has just one loss with a record of (6-1). Not far behind are several young wrestlers that have won four or more matches in Blake Deines, Holt Hanzlick, and Cade Boxberger. The team continues to improve and seems to be headed in the right direction to keep alive the strong tradition that the high school team as maintained for the past 10 years of being one of the top teams in the state in the class 1-3A.
