Indians sweep Cardinals

LARNED — The Larned High School baseball team swept Hoisington on Tuesday evening.
The Indians won the first game 3-0 and the second 5-1.
Easton Palmer pitched the shutout in Game 1 for Larned, going all seven innings. Palmer allowed three hits and struck out 12.
Landon Erway, Isiah Perez and Camryn Bryant, the top three in the Larned lineup, each had one RBI in the game.
Colton Zink started on the mound for Hoisington, giving up eight hits and striking out four.
Hunter Hanzlick, Trent Schremmer and Zink contributed Hoisington’s only three hits.
Perez got the win in the second game on the mound for Larned. He allowed four hits and struck out seven.
The Indians went up 5-0 before giving up the only run of the evening in the top of the sixth.
Tyler Stelter had two RBIs. Palmer, Ty O’Neill and Evan Skelton each had one RBI.
Terry Crawford worked the mound for the Cardinals in Game 2.
Crawford allowed seven hits and four walks. He struck out three.
He also had a double in the game, one of four hits from Hoisington.
Hanzlick, Braeden Crites and Brad Reif added the other three hits.
