LACROSSE GIRLS 54, RUSSELL 48

HOISINGTON – The LaCrosse girls built a 31-16 halftime lead and held off Russell 54-48 for the championship in the Cardinal Winter Jam. The Leopards scored all eight fourth-quarter points on free throws.

LaCrosse’s Mary Lacy scored 21 points and Tessa Pierce added 12 points. Russell’s Megan Boxberger 19 points and Kyleigh Kasper added nine points.

HOISINGTON – Hoisington’s Rylie Koester scored 12 points and Jocelyn Pedigo added 11 points to lead the Cardinals past Minneapolis 48-43 for third place in the Hoisington Winter Jam.

Shay Allison led the Lions with 16 points.

HOISINGTON – Taylor Regan scored 19 points to lead Otis-Bison past Ellsworth 46-40 for fifth place in the Mid-Winter Classic. Regan made 11 free throws, nine in the fourth period. Megan Tammen scored 13 points.

Amy Westerman scored 14 points and Paige Talbott added 12 points.

HOISINGTON – Victoria’s Tiff Dortland scored 15 points to lead the Knights past Ellinwood 42-25 for seventh place in the Cardinal Winter Jam. Ellinwood’s Brittney Beck and Maddy Ward scored nine points apiece.
