MOUNDRIDGE 57, ST. JOHN 35

Moundridge’s Ashley Holler and Bethany Stucky each scored 20 points as the Wildcats beat St. John 57-35 Tuesday at the Barton Hilltop Hoops Classic. The Wildcats made 17 of 22 free throws. Holler had four assists and four steals. Peri Lange had three assists and three steals. Life Prep (9-0) plays Moundridge (9-1) in Thursday’s 6:30 p.m. semifinal.  
St. John’s Tara Nelson scored 14 points and Bailey Burns added nine points, seven steals and three assists.

Wichita Life Prep rolled to a 42-3 halftime lead and coasted past Macksville 74-17 Tuesday at the Barton Hilltop Hoops Classic. Regan Tibbitts led the way with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Isabella Baez added 11 points. Life Prep had 26 steals and Macksville committed 32 turnovers.
Macksville’s Sophie Filbert scored nine points. The Mustangs made 5 of 29 field goals. Life Prep (9-0) plays Moundridge (9-1) in Thursday’s 6:30 p.m. semifinal.

Ell-Saline’s Baleigh Griffin scored 14 points and nine steals as the Cardinals beat Little River 42-28 in a consolation game at the Barton Hilltop Hoops Classic. Sydney Omli had six steals and eight points. The Cardinals outscored Little River 12-0 in the fourth quarter.
Melanie Renken led the Redskins with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Kristin Ekholm added eight points. Emily Smyres had four steals.
