Kinsley led 23-4 after one period and were ahead 56-46 over the Tigers, who kept battling.

LYONS — Hoisington’s boys outscored Lyons 35-13 after halftime for a 57-24 Central Kansas League basketball victory Tuesday. Hoisington travels to Kingman Friday night.
The Cardinals (2-4, 1-0 CKL) placed Brenner Donovan (14), Cameron Davis (12) and Grant Dolechek (10) in double figures. Davis dished out six assists and Brenner Donovan and Tyler Specht each added four assists. Grant Dolechek had four steals.
Lyons (0-7, 0-1 CKL) was paced by Terek Smith with 10 points.
