The Hoisington High School boys’ basketball team, which is ranked No. 4 in Class 3A in the latest Kansas Basketball Coaches Association poll, will face Mid-Central Activities Association foe Larned tonight on the road.
The Cardinals are 4-1 after they were handed their first loss on Tuesday in Sedgwick. They will be facing Larned without their leading scorer.
Cody Stetler, a 6-foot-8 junior center, has averaged 18.3 points per game in the first four games, but rolled his ankle against Sedgwick. Hoisington head coach Kyle Haxton said that Stetler would likely be out until after the Christmas break.

Larned (1-2) is led by Cameron Brown, who averages 16.7 points per game. Jamahn Hill averages 11 points.
Other area teams that are ranked include the St. John girls, who are No. 1 in 1A Division-I, and Macksville’s boys, who are No. 5 in 1A D-I.
