Panthers appear to be hitting their stride, capture victories

With the Class 5A regional wrestling tournament just around the corner, the Great Bend High School Panthers appear to be hitting their stride at just the right time.
On Thursday, Great Bend traveled to Liberal and came away with victories over Garden City (40-29) and Liberal (69-4).
On Saturday, GBHS traveled to Wichita to take part in the Goddard Tournament.
Great Bend won three of five matches on the day, beating Maize, 55-19; Goddard, 64-9; and Haysville-Campus, 41-31. GBHS lost to Wichita South (36-29) and Goddard (37-30).
Chris Burley, Brett Roberts and Cody Lytel were all three undefeated wrestlers on the day for the Panthers.
Great Bend plays host to Hays on Thursday before gearing up for the regional meet on Saturday, Feb. 18.
