Three HHS Cardinals ranked in Class 3A

Hoisington’s returning state runner-up Christopher Ball (145, 33-0) is ranked second in the latest Class 3-1A Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association state rankings.
Cardinal Landen Urban (285, 33-1) is ranked third and Austin McHenry (195, 31-7) is ranked fourth. Hoisington is ranked eighth in Class 3-1A.
Larned’s freshman Kristopher Nolde is ranked sixth after winning two tournament titles.
Landen Urban, Sean Urban and Austin McHenry captured first place in the Central Kansas League wrestling tournament. Christopher Ball (145) did not compete in the CKL meet. Other Hoisington place-winners were Brinntain Noah (17-5, 152), second; Tanner Cassity (26-10, 126), third; Justin Umphrey (4-7, 195), fourth; Dustin Edmonson (15-20, 138), fourth; Jeremy Breit (23-16, 170), fourth; Benjamin Schneider (13-19, 182), sixth.
