Vosburgh's shot lifts Macksville Mustangs

MACKSVILLE 35, LITTLE RIVER 34

Macksville’s Olivia Vosburgh drilled the game-winning field goal on a baseline jumper for a 35-34 victory over Little River in the seventh-place game at the Barton Hillop Hoops Classic. The Redskins (1-12) committed a turnover on their final possession.
Little River’s Melanie Renken converted a 10-foot jumper for a 34-33 lead with 33 seconds left. Vosburgh led the Mustangs (3-9) with 13 points and four steals. Emma Stimatze added nine points and four steals. Sophie Filbert had five steals.
Little River’s Carley Tomlin scored 11 points. Emily Smyres and Madison Loder each had three assists.
