Panthers rally past Garden City

The Great Bend High School boys’ soccer team rallied back from a 2-0 deficit to beat Garden City, 3-2, on Wednesday in Great Bend.
Alex Urias and Noel Rodriguez scored to tie the game at two before the end of the first half. Early in the second half, Mario Espino struck a corner kick into the box and Sergio Montes got his head on it to put the Panthers up 3-2.
The Panthers are 4-6-1 this season with a Western Athletic Conference record of 2-5.

Cougars edge
past Dodge City

The Barton Community College men’s soccer team scored one goal in its shut out against Dodge City on Thursday at Cougar Fields.
Cougars’ forward Sam McCrillis put a header into the back of the net to boost Barton’s flawless Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference record to 8-0. The Cougars are 10-3-1 this season.
Dodge City falls to 4-3 in KJCCC play and 8-7-1 overall.

Lady Cougars sweep Hutch

The Barton Community College volleyball team swept Hutchinson in its best-of-five match on Wednesday.
The Lady Cougars won, 25-15, 25-19 and 25-16, making their Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference record 4-4 and their overall record 16-6.
Hutchinson falls to 5-19 overall, and 4-4 in the KJCCC.
