LINCOLN, NEB. — Great Bend Chiefs pitcher Stefan Spray threw a complete game for a 6-2 victory over Columbus, Neb. Sunday in the Lincoln Legion baseball tournament.

Spray (3-1) struck out six batters with no walks in a crisp 91-pitch outing.

Gavin Haberman and Brad Beck singled and Paco Hernandez walked in the second inning. Haberman and Beck scored on Jade Poe's single. Hernandez scored on an error.

Spray doubled in the third inning and scored on a Tyler Stuhlsatz double. Stuhlsatz scored on Beck's double for a 5-0 lead. Hernandez singled home Haberman for a 6-0 lead after four innings.

Alex Griffith doubled home Grant Anderson (error) and Jack Foust (hit batter) for two Columbus runs in the sixth inning.   

The Chiefs (14-6) will play Newton (11-10) in the Legion Zone tournament July 20 at Barton Community College.
