The St. John Tigers defeated Little River 51-43 to win the 1A Little River basketball regional.

ST. JOHN BOYS 51, LITTLE RIVER 43

LITTLE RIVER — St. John’s Mason Osborne scored 18 points, seven in the fourth quarter, to spark the Tigers past Little River in Sunday’s hard-fought regional basketball championship.

St. John’s Tanner Halling scored 14 points and Trey Fisher added nine points. The Tigers converted 14 of 29 free throws. St. John (18-4) advances to Friday’s 1A Pratt substate against Minneola (11-11). A victory would advance the Tigers into Saturday’s championship game against the Attica-Hodgeman County winner.
