STAFFORD — Cougar Destiny Mitchell won the high jump (4-8) and the 3,200-meters (13:55.56) as the Otis-Bison girls (128) edged Cunningham (124) for the team title at the recent Stafford Track Invitational.
Mitchell anchored the Cougars' 3,200-meter relay (12:02.1) to first place with Macie Wiltse, Abi Rodriguez and Ava Kenyon. Cougar Kaylee Ficken won the 200 meters (28.77) and Emma McMillan won the 300-meter hurdles (1:01.32).
The St. John girls (105) placed third paced by double winner Lydia Reed in the 800 (2:50) and 1,600 (6:18.87). Reed earned first-place medals on the 400-meter relay ( 54.75) with Heidi Fisher, Addy Ward and Reagan Bonner; and the 1,600-meter relay (4:51.69) with Heidi Fisher, Bonner and Teresa Miller.
St. John's Heidi Fisher won the 400 (1:07.32) and Bonner won the triple jump (32-01/2).
BOYS DIVISION — Double winner Caden McCandless won the long jump (20-01/2) and 100 meters (11.66) and Quade Smith swept the 800 (2:15.95) and 1,600 (5:18.78) to lead the St. John Tigers (105) to third place.
Smith anchored first-place finishes in the 1,600-meter relay (3:53.87) with Jace Reyes, Alan Valenzuela and Braxton Alpers; and the 3,200-meter relay (10:17.62) with Jace Reyes, Valenzuela and Alpers.
St. John's Braxton Alpers won the triple jump (39-53/4).
Stafford's boys won the 400-meter relay (49.06) with Colson Minks, Brody Kerschenske, Dylan Brozek and Zachary Sedore. Otis-Bison's Gavin Alloway won the jump (5-10).
