Three Cardinals earn first place
HOISINGTON – No. 1 ranked Wyatt Pedigo (28-1, 195) and Joshua Ball (27-5, 170) earned first-place medals at the Hoisington Cardinal Classic Wrestling Tournament.
Defending state champion Pedigo pinned Douglass’ Zach Dressler in 3:49 in the championship match to complete five wins on pins. Ball pinned Douglass’ Kaden Pichler in 3:26 in the title match to finish 5-0.
Cardinal Jessi Kindscher (8-5, 120) won first-place in the girls division.
Placing runner-up were Cardinals Quentin Boxberger (20-10, 106); Gabe Hipp (7-23, 126); Cole Steinert (24-6, 132); Dayne Yott (10-3, 145); and Riley Philbern (22-9, 285).
