Touslee achieves MIAA academic honor roll award

EMPORIA — Shane Touslee, a long-snapper for the Emporia State University football team, earned a spot on the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association academic honor roll.
Touslee, a 2010 graduate of Great Bend High School, has a grade point average of 3.46 and is majoring in chemistry/pre-pharmacy.
He is a one-year letter winner with the Hornets.
The MIAA academic honor roll features student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 and at least two terms of attendance.
Touslee is one of 136 student athletes from Emporia State who earned academic honors from the MIAA during the 2010-11 school year.
The MIAA recognizes student-athletes in three programs — MIAA academic honor roll, MIAA scholar-athletes and MIAA academic excellence award.
Touslee was a 2009 All-Western Athletic Conference offensive lineman, a 2009 Class 5A all-state honorable mention lineman, a 2009 WAC discus champion and a 2010 state medal-winning swimmer.
