Great Bend medalist Zoey Mayberry earned a first-place medal (584, 183-190-211) to spark the Panthers past Hays High 12-1 in Monday’s Western Athletic Conference bowling dual at Walnut Bowl.

Great Bend’s past 5-1A state champion Kaylin Wahlmeier was runner-up (584). Wahlmeier is the reigning WAC Player of the Year.

The Panther girls won all three series games and won three of four Baker games to win the overall pin count 2,695 to 1,986.  Panther Emilee Nelson (532) placed third and Paige Heine (437) placed fifth.

Hays High medalist Keaton Brown (534, 158-201-175) placed first. The Indians won three series games and four Baker games, including a 134-133 edge and a 161-157 advantage.

Panther Josh Manning (434) placed sixth with games of 141-121-172.
